We are very
happy to welcome you to attend RLA meetings. We invite all artists to visit
our club. If you are a beginner to a professional you are welcome to visit
Rainier League of Arts. Art league has artist demonstrations each month.
Dues are $20 a year. All painters, wood carvers, fine art artists, and
sculpture artists are welcome to come and see if RLA fits your needs. We are
sure you will find the artists in the league to be friendly and a pleasure
to meet. You can join by bring $20 to the club meeting in Sept. and a sample
of your art. If you are a current member, dues are due in Sept.

Rainier Vista Senior Apartments in Pacific, Wa.
Hanging for the months of Feb/Mar - Paul Langston and Sandie Hawkins

venue is the Food Coop on 6th Ave. in Tacoma.

will be April through June. I have, also, set up
a shop on etsy.com. The shop name is ArtMakesItWorthwhile. You can
find it by either selecting "shop" and using the shop name or "artist" and
using my name in the dropdown search menu.

holding our 10th Annual Open Art Exhibition, "Outside Your Comfort Zone";
August 9 - Sept. 13, 2012. This year we are welcoming
entries in 2D and 3D art and will be awarding over $3,100 in prizes.
Our juror this year is Rock Hushka, curator from the Tacoma Art Museum and
we are quite excited to have Rock involved with us. Also, exciting

2012 Kent Summer Art Exhibit Call to Artists City Art Purchase
Awards Centennial Center Exhibit Awards Artist Selection Process
Deadline $5,000 total budget, artworks will be purchased from
several artists 3-5 solo or duo exhibitions in the Centennial Center
Gallery during the 2013 season Open to Washington State artists
Monday, March 5, 2012 (a postmark deadline) OPPORTUNITY The City of
Kent seeks prints, photographs, paintings, works on paper and other types of
artwork for the juried Kent Summer Art Exhibit. All accepted artwork is then
eligible for City Art Purchase Awards and Kent Arts Commission Exhibit
Awards. The City Art Purchase Awards total $5,000. Multiple
artworks may be purchased from several artists. The awards panel will also
choose between 3-5 artists to receive the Kent Arts Commission Centennial
Center Gallery Exhibit Awards for the 2013 season. Artists are eligible to
receive multiple awards. This annual juried art exhibit is displayed salon
style in the Centennial Center Gallery and adjacent conference rooms to
accommodate over 40 regional artists. Work is on display June 15 through

Proctor
Arts Fest invites all artists to submit original artwork for consideration
in the second annual Proctor Arts Fest Contest. The winning design will be
reproduced on posters and other marketing pieces to promote the Aug. 7, 2010
Arts Fest. The theme of the artwork should be in the celebratory spirit of a
summer art festival and should not feature any particular Proctor
businesses. Artists may submit one entry only by CD. All media is accepted.
Entries will not be returned. The winning artist will be awarded $300 and
acceptance of the award will grant the Proctor Arts Fest Committee the right
to reproduce the art only for the purpose of representing the Arts Fest. The
original artwork will remain the property of the artist. The artist will
have the option of displaying his or her winning art in the Proctor Art
Gallery during the Arts Fest. Second and third place entries may also
display their art in Proctor businesses during the Art Fest. Judging will be
by a selected committee of artists and Proctor merchants. Entries must be
postmarked by April 15, 2010. The winner will be notified by May 15, 2010.
